AirWave ClimaFilm is made of recycled material, mostly coming directly from the end-user's disposal channels (PCR-post consumer recycled part). AirCushions provide a safe and environmentally friendly packaging for all types of goods - because it is only 1% material and otherwise only air. FLOETER can actively save up to 70% CO₂ compared to alternatives which often seem to be more environmentally friendly, such as paper padding.

With AirWave ClimaFilm a further contribution to climate protection in transportation can be made.

The principle of climate certificates

Companies that calculate CO2 emissions for processes or products and offset them by supporting internationally recognized climate protection projects are making a significant contribution to climate protection. The compensation, avoidance and reduction of CO₂ emissions are an important step in climate protection. Emissions that cannot be avoided locally are therefore offset by climate protection projects at another place of the world.

Climate protection through forest conservation

The CO₂ - emissions, which nevertheless arise during the film production are compensated by climate protection projects with the help of the climate experts of Climate Partner. Besides the reduction of the CO₂ - footprint, this is connected with the creation of alternative sources of income and educational opportunities. FLOETER currently supports a forest protection project in Brazil. Depending on the region, forests store different amounts of CO₂. Less CO₂ pollution already in production

AirWave ClimaFilm is a 100% climate-neutral film with no CO₂ emissions, which requires less energy and water already during production than paper, for example.

Sustainability and CO₂ footprint in e-commerce

As well as AirWave Bio and AirWave PaperWave, FLOETER contributes to sustainability in shipping with the AirWave ClimaFilm air cushion films.

FLOETER offers the AirWave ClimaFilm air cushions as chains and mats for the air cushion machines AirWave 1 and AirWave 2. ClimaFilm is also available for industrial air cushion production with the APM. The air cushions are produced just in time - directly in the shipping department.
